Killer Fashion Revolution at Human Rights Arts festival
‎Even if a ash cloud over Europe made it very hard to make it to Washington, Killer Fashion Revolution made it to Silver Spring in time and the Killer Fashion Revolution participatory media art installation and short workshops were be part of Amnesty International's Human Rights Arts Festival 23-25.4.2010 in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. http://www.humanrightsartfestival.com

During Saturday and Sunday the Killer Fashion Revolution workshops had about 40 participants. Youth, kids , adults and whole families made "Vote for Fair Fashion"-money/credit card bags or draw images on T-shirts that corresponded to the Human Rights Declaration articles. While making the "Vote for Fair Fashion"-bags we were talking about the bad working conditions that garment workers have e.g. in India and Bangladesh. There was also images available from the Clean Clothes Campaign Creative Commons library to give an image of how these garment workers live. We had several interesting discussions and participants were able to take their creations home. This to remind about ethical issues when shopping clothes the next time.
